Those of us with large music libraries know how much of a pain it can be to choose what to listen to. Sometimes there’s no time to make a decent playlist; other times you simply don’t even know where to start. While the basic music app on the iPhone is efficient and easily sorts your music, it doesn’t do a good job presenting your music to you when you don’t know what to listen to.

The App Store is chock-full of driving and flying games of every kind. There are games in which you pilot a spaceship, or a Lamborghini, or an F-22 Raptor, and through every imaginable kind of terrain and situation. Despite all these different games, Jet Car Stunts manages to take the basic idea of a driving game and add an impressive new element that makes it radically unique.
As you could probably tell by the title, the added element is that your car has a powerful jet engine mounted on the back. But instead of just using the jet engine as an over complicated speed boost, it also functions to propel you forward when you’re airborne. It seems that with every coming day there’s a new vertical platformer on the app store. Ever since the genre was popularized by Doodle Jump, this kind of game is a dime a dozen; the outstanding ones are rare indeed. The Blocks Cometh is one of the few games that not only brings a fresh new take to the genre, but does it exceptionally well.
Going old school seems to be a common trend with games nowadays. The charming 8- or 16-bit artwork, music and play style of the 90s is not only nostalgic fun for those who played the NES and similar game consoles back in the day, but provides a fresh and different experience for the recent generation of gamers.
One iOS game that does a remarkably good job of bringing the retro feel to the masses is Super Crate Box. It’s a frantic, fast-paced, and quite fantastic game that embodies the comeback of arcade age. (more…)
Game developer Mika Mobile has done it again. Their newest game, Zombieville 2, is a combination of brilliant gameplay, animation and responsive controls that translate to an awesome experience.
While the game builds on the previous Zombieville, it adds many new elements and improves on others. The graphics have had an awesome refresh that definitely improves the whole feel for the game, and the character customization has been greatly expanded as well. Let’s see what it’s got!
