    This looks like an awesome app! I’ve always been frustrated with the limitations of the native map app on an iPod as it relied so heavily on having a network connection. Which is great, right up to the point that you try to drive anywhere . . . But this looks like it could very well be the remedy!

    I downloaded this app before I went to Helsinki for a weekend. I also managed to download the Helsinki map and info packages about the city.

    The map was absolutely USELESS for me because the app was never able to locate me via GPS or similar (I am using the iPhone 4), so I never knew where I was when I need to know where I was.

    For me the only way to go was to use the standard Google Maps app in a free Wi-Fi hotspot, zoom in and out a bit to get the maps cached. Then later on the go without Wi-Fi I was able to use Google Maps even without internet connection. And Google Maps was, of course, able to locate my exact position.
