Do You Think OS X is Becoming More Like iOS?

Depending on which side of the fence you sit, you’ll get a ton of different opinions on whether the recently announced OS X update Mountain Lion is turning into iOS, or if it’s just a matter of unifying the two platforms so the concepts function the same way. I’ve already posted my thoughts on the matter, but now I’d like to know what you’re thinking.

Let us know in the poll to the right if you think iOS and OS X are slowly becoming merged into one, or if you’ve got a different opinion.

I think as time passes by we are going to see more and more of iOS integration into OS X, but I don’t think Apple would unify them!

    No shit, Sherlock.

We are constantly being told by ‘smart tech people’ that Apple is unifying the OSes to make the transition between them smooth – So I’ll bet on that one.

On another note, I think it seems like a good idea to keep the OSes separate but ‘alike’. Some things work best on a iPad, and some work better on the Mac.

I like the idea of apple making the native apps (like notes, calendar and such) alike across all platforms, because it makes it easier to transition between devices!

Nobody wants to see Apple produce a Windows 8 do they?

Maybe, one day in the distant future, we will see one OS, however for now I think we will see iOS and OSX stay distinct.
