Weekly Poll: Are You Having Problems With iCloud?

This past weekend we discussed iCloud and its current shortcomings, but we also know fully that not everyone is having these problems. But since there are so many people out there using it — and we assume many of you as well — we figured we would put it to a poll. How is iCloud working for you? Are you having any problems or is everything hunky dory? Let us know in the poll to the right!

Well the aren’t exactly a lot of apps using iCloud syncing yet and I don’t edit/add/ remove contacts and such all to often so I havnt really noticed if there has been any problems.

My biggest problem so far are features that simply do not exist like syncing of subscribe calendars for example. Isn’t it kinda weird? Calendar on iOS iCal (that’s what its called right?) on OSX both support subscribing to calendars (iCal format) and do a much better job at it than Google or Yahoo calendar does (Google can’t add my school schedule om the URL, I have to save first and would as such not get any changes made to the schedule, yahoo works but a lot of odd stuff happen when syncing to iOS) yet there is no support whatsoever for it in iCloud?

The big problem I’m having with iCloud is that it won’t push my MobileMe e-mails to my iPhone. As a result, whenever I want to check my MobileMe e-mails, I have to manually open mail on my iPhone 4. Now, if I keep mail running in the background, my MobileMe e-mails will be pushed to my iPhone, but I shouldn’t have to do that (it was never required before iCloud came into existence). I’ve checked Settings on my iPhone and everything is set up correctly on the MobileMe side. I also reset my network settings on my iPhone, but the problem still persists. Interestingly, e-mails to my optonline e-mail address do get pushed to my iPhone. I really wish this problem would go away, as it’s annoying. I posted a similar post on another forum a few weeks ago and another reader responded, saying that the problem is Apple’s servers, but my gosh, it’s been a few weeks now and I’m still having the same problem day after day — shouldn’t it be fixed by now???? Good grief! Other than that, iCloud works fine for me.
