Weekly Poll: How Do You Get Your Movies on Your iPhone?

The iPhone is an amazing device, and iTunes is pretty neat in itself, even if it’s not quite perfect. But one issue with the whole system is putting movies and TV shows on your iOS device.

Technically, the way to do it is to download your videos from iTunes, but what do you do with all of those DVDs that you already own? According to those fancy warnings at the beginning of every DVD and VHS tape I’ve ever seen, you’re not supposed to copy them no matter if you own them or not.

So what do you do? Do you buy your stuff from iTunes or just run the risk and burn your movies yourself? Let us know in the completely anonymous poll to the right.

    Netflix anyone?

I buy everything from iTunes. Even movies that I already own, I buy from iTunes. At the end of the day, the whole VHS and DVD model was flawed and those of us who bought in to those mediums should know that we’ve been buying in to flawed technology or moreover, a flawed strategy. It is illegal, as you’ve mentioned to make copies even for personal use and we all knew that when buying them. Let’s thank iTunes that that model has changed for the better.

I watch music videos and occasionally Adventure Time on my iPhone. Full length movies on this tiny screen seems silly to me.

I only watch movies on iPad while traveling.
Before doing that, I add them to my iTunes library.
No need/space to keep everything on it.
