What’s Your Favorite New Feature in iOS 6?

A few weeks back we got the big news that iOS 6 was coming out this fall and it came with a whole bunch of new features. The laundry list is pretty big: Facebook integration, eyes free, new maps … it just keeps on going.

This is all big news, but what about for you? What’s the big thing you’re looking forward to in iOS 6? Let us know in the poll to the right.

New maps – they kinda suck
FaceTime over cellular – I don’t have any 3G devices
    Facebook integration – meh
    Shared Photo Streams – cool
    Passbook – meh
New Mail signature options – useful
New Phone features – like what?

Yaro, there are quite a few phone additions that will be pretty darn useful. Here’s a laundry list of them on Apple’s website:

To highlight a few: Swiping up on the “slide to answer” button to reveal several options. The first is Remind me Later which is fairly easy to guess. Basically it’ll bring up a UI that allows you to be prodded in, say, 15 minutes to call the person back. You can also reply with a preset message for those times when you can’t really handle your phone. Furthermore, perhaps my favorite, you can set do not disturb times where calls won’t go in to your phone and will get sent to voicemail without the possibility of interrupting a meeting and/or going off embarrassingly. This can be set for any amount of time and can be customized to your liking. For example, I can set Do Not Disturb when I go to work, unless it’s from my boss or any co-workers. All calls except from those few numbers will be sent to voicemail, and can automatically be given a reply.

These features, in my opinion, will be huge. The rest of iOS 6 I will have to wait and see about before I make a judgement.

Maps would be the best, but the data that they have is out of date in my area. Google maps is much more accurate.

It’s not even out yet. Let me try them first, then I can say which one is my favorite :)

Oddly enough, my new favorite features are the tweaks made to the App Store. No more getting pushed out of the app once I hit the download button, and I don’t have to re-enter my password to install updates or re-install previously purchased apps.

Agreed, this is my favorite new change by far. The new app store looks much easier and faster to use and has a few useful tweaks that’ll make it a joy to use and browse through.
