Will You Switch to Verizon if They Release an iPhone?

Though it’s still officially in the rumor stage (no announcement from Verizon or Apple), the idea that Verizon will start offering the iPhone early next year is seen as a fact by many sources.

Bloomberg, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal are just a few places where we’ve been seeing headlines announcing that the phone is already being manufactured and prepped for shipping.

What we want to know is, do you care? Have you had enough problems with AT&T to immediately go running to another carrier as soon as it becomes possible? Or perhaps you’re one of the thousands already using Verizon, waiting patiently for the iPhone to arrive.

Cast your vote and leave a comment below telling us what you think of AT&T and Verizon and where you’d like to see the iPhone go next!

Where’s the “No, I’m not American, stop assuming” choice?

Sorry about that, we didn’t mean to make anyone feel excluded! With our parent company being Australian, the AppStorm manager residing in the UK and me being American, we try to spread out the love :)

Absolutely, as soon as my contract ends. AT&T has absolutely no service in the town my mother lives in. Sucks when I visit.

Although, if Verizon demands installation of some of their proprietary software (vCast, etc.), which I highly doubt Apple would even allow, I may just stay with AT&T. We’ll see.

    In a heart beat.

Probably not. I have another 18 months on my contract, since my daughters phone is not in sync with mine. I also had AT&T long before I had my Iphone, so I would really need to be convinced to switch. Also, assuming my phone is still working well (and being Apple, I no reason to suspect it won’t be) I don’t see any reason to shell out another $200-$300 for a new phone.

I have had an iPhone since the original. I switched from Sprint to AT&T at that time and have hated the AT&T cellular service. I drop calls quite regularly and overall the ‘phone’ aspect of the iPhone has been a bad experience. I have the 4 now which hasn’t been any better or worse, but I will switch to Verizon for sure if/when Apple makes it available.

Probably not; I switched from Verizon to get the iPhone and my service is no worse than it was with Verizon. Not only that, my phone bill is about $40 cheaper.

No. I have had AT&T for years. I’ve had no issues with service. Worked fine when I lived on the west coast and works fine now that I live on the east coast. I will be more than happy when it happens though. AT&T handles much more data than other carriers, so I’m betting that once it happens and people switch, it will only make the AT&T network even better and then Verizon can deal with an influx of heavy data users.
