You guys forgot cha-ching. Been using this app along with the 1year old 3.0 beta of its desktop app.

Thanks for the roundup, I’m still not convinced I’ve found the right finance app’ yet though. None of them are that well designed (visually).

Try these two apps, they work efficient like the apps above, but their URL are stunning! Search on the app store Toshl or SilverWiz

I’m surprised iCompta’s iPhone app didn’t make the cut. I use their home program with good results.

Squirrel! I believe the iPhone version is free and can be used as a standalone app, or synced with the reasonably priced Mac desktop version. I’ve been using the desktop and iPhone apps this year and really like them (looking forward to multiple currency support in the next version).

    You guys left out Spenderbot.

Truth time: Spenderbot is my app, but it sucks that it didn’t make a list of 30 personal finance apps, given it’s unique featureset.

It stores all of your data in the cloud so there’s no syncing. I’m currently in the middle of an amazing update, too.

But can you sync two people’s device (ie husband and wife), it seems like there are ALOT of us out there looking for the same thing. Can you help us?

iCompta seems to be the only finance app that I could find that allowed me to pull in all my bank transactions automatically with it’s own internal browser. Setting up an account allowed me to type in my banks URL. I was skeptical … but it captured the data from my bank’s DOWNLOAD functionality.

If you want to quickly get your transactions into a nice iPad/iPhone budget tracking software, iCompta may be for you!

I will say that I’m hopeful that HomeBudget will add this to their functionality, as I like the look of their GUI a lot better. Also, HomeBudget allows a family to quickly, and easily set up it’s own “network” for updating any additional transaction. This even happens over 3G networks, not just wi-fi. So, HomeBudeget was the only one that had that feature.
