This week’s Game Friday sees us roundup some of the best Puzzle Games currently available in the App Store. From the hugely popular Doodle God to the slightly odd Cash Cow, we hope there is something for everyone to get their teeth in to.

First up this week is Labyrinth 2, sequel to the brilliant maze-game Labyrinth. For those of you who have not played the original, you control a ball-bearing using the accelerometer, steering around a number of obstacles in order to reach your goal.
The game features a number of new challenges, along with a level editor and up to 4 player multiplayer. The controls are incredibly responsive, meaning you need a steady hand in order to complete some of the levels and, even when you have done so, there are more available to download online. A great little game!
With over 2million downloads in the lat 2 weeks, Doodle God sites proudly atop the Puzzle Game charts in the US App Store. It’s not hard to see why, with a wholly unique concept brought to life in the simplest of fashions.
You mix and match elements in order to create one of 115 new elements, working your way from bacteria to beetle and beyond. Build a civilisation and an army, take on zombies and evolve! It’s uniqueness is what makes it so great to play and for just $0.99 it really is endless hours of fun.
Cash Cow somehow manages to combine a simple puzzle game with a storyline about farmyard animals and make a rather good game out of it. Add up coins to make a dollar in order to earn money and keep your farm running. There are 5 different game modes to play, varying from a quick game, onto a much longer story mode where you meet a number of weird characters.
The gameplay is compellingly addictive and will appeal to both children and adults, with the simple math helping challenge their brains. It’s easy to pick up and play or, if you fancy a longer game, you can get your teeth stuck into this for hours.
Featured in the US App Store this week is Mystic Garden, a “tranquil yet engaging puzzle game” that looks like a great brain teaser. You are given a piece of land with a number of plants to water and you must place the water droplets in the correct place so that each plant receives the correct amount.
It sounds simple, but with 99 levels getting progressively more difficult, you start screaming at your phone randomly as you get more and more confused. It may just scare people on the same bus as you….
Sequel to the hugely popular Ragdoll Blaster, Version 2 brings 150 new levels to the table, enough to keep you occupied for hours on end. Gameplay is simple, you touch the screen to aim and fire your ragdoll at targets, hitting the target to complete the level.
Each level has a different challenge and there is a lot of variety to keep the game fresh. Oh, and the graphics and physics engine are brilliant, which is great as, done wrong, these could have killed the game. On sale for a limited time only.
