IZettle is a mobile payment service that combines an iOS app and credit card reader into a complete Point of Sale system. Using iZettle, anyone can set up an iPhone to take payments for any goods and services quickly and easily. For some reason, I look forward to doing the bills each month. I am not sure why, maybe it is because of the satisfaction of seeing my debt go down each time. But there were those times that I would miss a bill, then I got a penalty for it the following month. I would absolutely hate when that happened, and so a little over a year ago, I came across Chronicle, a bill reminder app.

At the time they were only on the Mac, and I had absolutely fell in love with it, making it one of my favorite apps to use. Ever since I started using it, I’ve been wanting the developers to come up with one for the iPhone. The time has finally come for it to come to fruition, and I got an email the other day from the developer who generously gave me a promo code to check it out. Going out to eat with your friends can be a lot of fun — until the bill comes. Sitting around while everyone at the table does confusing math in their head about how much money they need to put down quickly becomes frustrating scene.

A new app named Billr aims to relieve some of the stress that comes from splitting a bill. You enter some information from the bill, and the app walks you through the necessary steps of dividing the costs in the most fair manner possible. Sounds great, right? Let’s find out. (more…)
