It seems like when people want to start complaining about iOS, skeuomorphism — the concept of making digital interfaces that look and act like their real-life counterparts — always seems to come up. Sure, the Podcasts app was pretty rugged for a bit, and no one likes Game Center, but is it all that bad?
Well let’s ask you. What do you think? Does skeuomorphism work for you or do you hate it? Let us know in the poll to the right!
There’s been a lot of talk recently about the existence of an “iWatch,” a device that you wear on your wrist that either replaces or supplements your iPhone. It’s the first step in us all becoming Dick Tracy, which is a reference that even I am too young to fully understand.
What’re your thoughts? Would you buy an iWatch or similar device? Let us know in the poll to the right!

There have been a lot of rumors floating around these past few weeks about a larger iPhone that’s in the mix. It has a 5-inch screen, and is designed to take on the larger form factor phones like Samsung’s Note and so on. For a long time, I discounted those rumors because it didn’t make much sense. But now, I may have a different opinion.
Marco Arment, developer of Instapaper and The Magazine, recently wrote a post about his theories on a 5-inch iPhone, and it makes sense — in a theoretical way, of course. Whether or not this device actually exists is anyone’s guess.
So what’s yours? If a larger iPhone exists, would you buy it? Let us know in the poll to the right!

Today is a big day — there’ll be an Apple announcement in a little bit (or it has already happened, depending on when you read this), and it should be pretty big. The hot rumor is that it’s a 7.85-inch iPad, but is that really it? Is it just new Mac hardware? Something random we’ve never heard of?
Well you tell us! Fill in the poll to the right and let’s see what you think!
Every day there’s a new rumor floating down the Apple information highway. Most recently, it’s been all about the iPad mini, but there’s also been the new iMac rumors, the Retina display MacBook Pro 13, and of course, the Apple TV that’s actually a television.
Sometimes, it’s a bit dizzying to read all this stuff, much less keep up. We report on it using our Twitter feed, but usually with a snarky comment based on the veracity of the rumor.
So what about you? Do you love all the rumors and read every one? Or are you on a “wait and see” approach? Let us know in the poll to the right!
With the new iPhone seemingly just a breath away, it’s time to tally up all of the iPhone rumors. There have been quite a lot of them in the past few months, but now it’s up to you to let us know which one of those you think is most likely to happen. Is it the new dock connector? A smaller, unibody design? Will it be able to make Julienne Fries? Answer in the poll to the right!

Although this is the iPhone arm of the AppStorm network, let’s face facts: Apple announcements are always big news. And currently, the big hype around the rumor mill is that Apple is going to have an special announcement on March 7th, just one week from tomorrow. What’s it going to be about? We’ve heard iPad 3, and it makes sense, what with the company’s track record with the iPad. But nothing is a given here, just look at the delays on the iPhone 4S.
So what do you think? Will Apple schedule an announcement for next week? Will you hear about it this week? Let us know in the poll.
UPDATE: Looks like the rumors were correct. Today, Apple announced an event on March 7th for the iPad.
Remember a few years back before we had the iPad? Rumors were swirling about the latest new Apple product, and how it was going to revolutionize everything we did. Well, it did that, and now we’re hearing similar rumors about an AppleTV — a real, physical, 40-inches and up television that has all the great features of the current AppleTV 2, but it’s, well, a television.
As they say, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, it’s looking like an AppleTV may be on the horizon. What do you think? If one existed, would you buy it? Let us know in the poll to the right.
There’s been lots of hype rolling out recently that says the iPhone 5 will be coming sometime in September. And yet, here we are, 19 days in, and no iPhone to speak of. That’s pushing back these rumor timetables into October, and I’ve even read that it may be into 2012 until we see a “new” iPhone, and not just a redone or stepped down iPhone 4.
So what do you think? Is this the week that we’ll finally get the word of a new Apple announcement and potentially the iPhone 5? Or are we going to have to wait another few week(s) until we find out? Let us know in the poll.
