Remember a few years back before we had the iPad? Rumors were swirling about the latest new Apple product, and how it was going to revolutionize everything we did. Well, it did that, and now we’re hearing similar rumors about an AppleTV — a real, physical, 40-inches and up television that has all the great features of the current AppleTV 2, but it’s, well, a television.
As they say, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, it’s looking like an AppleTV may be on the horizon. What do you think? If one existed, would you buy it? Let us know in the poll to the right.
They say that the best camera you have is the one that’s always with you, which is probably why I take more photos with my iPhone than with my other options. There have always been lens systems for the iPhone, but after reading about the iPro, I started wondering if I would ever buy a set for my iPhone. Is it worth the price?
Well, you tell me. The poll is right there, go for it!
Here in the US, Verizon is pushing pretty hard to make sure that all new smartphones on their network are 4G LTE capable for this year. Verizon sells the iPhone of course, which begs the question, will there be a 4G LTE iPhone in 2012?
We’re not psychics over here, but we know everyone likes making their own predictions, right? Well here’s your chance. Let us know in the poll to the right what you think!
Although this very site is considered to be US based, our parent company is in Australia, my boss is in the UK and most of the writers come from all over the world, creating quite the mix of people. All of us who work for the site have iPhones obviously, but what about who we get our service through?
So I wanted to do a little experiment. I’ve put a poll up here with all of the major US carriers, plus a few UK, Canada and other offerings, just to round it out. But in case I missed something, I’ve also put down continents as well. By the time the poll is done, we should get a pretty good idea of where everyone is from — well, everyone who answers the poll, anyways.
There’s been a lot of complaining around these parts (mostly by me) about games being ported to the iPhone that are ridiculously difficult to control. It’s just the inherent nature of holding a small phone in your hands and controlling things by touching a glass screen, but it could be improved upon.
Well, looks like someone has gone ahead and made that mythical controller that I’ve been dreaming of, the only problem is there aren’t many games for it — yet. It’s called the GamePad, and it sells for $49.99. It seems to solve most of my problems, but here’s the thing: Is having a game controller for your iPhone worth the money?
It’s your call, people. Vote in the poll to the right and let us know!
So it’s the day after Christmas, and those of you who celebrate the holiday are probably still working your way through piles of tinsel and empty cartons of eggnog. It seems like at our house, an iTunes gift card is usually standard fare under the tree, but more recently we’ve been getting apps given to us via the App Store.
What about you? Have you found yourself with an app under the tree? Have you given one yourself? How about gift cards? Let us know in the poll to the right.
This is our second special week here at iPhone.AppStorm, and now we want to know what you, our readers, think. Do you like these special theme weeks? Would you like to see another? Let us know in the poll to the right, and we’ll get it handled!
It’s Game Week here at iPhone.AppStorm, and all this week we’re going to have tons of reviews, giveaways and other good stuff, all centered around the gaming world!
To kick off Game Week, let’s just hit this one right with the obvious: Are you a gamer? Do you find yourself furiously tapping the screen trying to get the next level, or just casually playing solitaire while you wait for your doctor’s appointment?
We want to know, so answer the question in the poll to the right!
My wife loves downloading the latest games for her iPhone. Me, I’m a bit of a productivity and social networking junkie, both which are a bit of a blessing and a curse since I’m in the business of writing app reviews. The rest of my family is a bit of a hodge-podge of app junkies, with my father seemingly always looking for a new weather app, while my mother wants to get that perfect to-do list sorted out.
What about you? What’s your favorite type of app to buy? You know the drill: post your answer in the comments and let us know!
My wife recently got a new job, and as part of the gig, she received a cell phone allowance to go towards her regular monthly bill. Now I thought I was OK what with our 1400 minute family plan and all that, but after I looked at our latest bill, I realized that she used 1300 minutes by herself! Thankfully, we’ve got free mobile-to-mobile calling, because otherwise that would’ve been one heck of a bill!
As usual, it got me thinking about what kind of plans that our readers are on, so I figured I’d put the question out there. Do you use tons of minutes or are you good with the minimums? Let us know in the poll.
