Just over a week ago, we found out exactly what’s in iOS 6, and saw some of the cool new features to come along with it. We’ve already told you about them, but now we’re wondering if you’re excited about all of the big changes, or if it’s just a ho-hum release. What do you think? Let us know in the poll to the right.

Our feature sponsor for this week is Basket, a simple and clean grocery shopping list app.

So you’re heading out to get some groceries — the usual stuff: milk, eggs, four quarts of rocky road — and you want to jot everything down in a single place. Basket is designed to do just that. Add or delete items on your list, then pull out the app when something is in your cart to check it off.

Think that’s it? There’s also iCloud support (a first for grocery list apps), meaning you can sync your lists between your devices. Maybe you’ve got an iPod touch at home that you use for your lists, and an iPhone for on the road. Plus, the app is customizable as well. You can pick your own fonts, font sizes and more.

Other cool features include shake to clear completed items, pull down to make a new entry and swipe to remove an item. It’s all very straightforward and that’s the point, right? Who wants to have to drill down four screens just to add peanut butter to their list?

Go Get It!

Basket is available on the app store right now, and better yet, it’s free. Go get your copy now so you can keep those lists in order!

On Monday, Apple announced many new features that will be coming to the iPhone in the fall of this year with iOS 6. Even though there are a lot of new features to look at, I’d like to delve into some of the notable differences in this recent alteration of Apple’s mobile operating system. After the break, I’ll take a deep look into new features like navigation, Passbook, the beautiful UI changes throughout the OS, a few of the bugs that you should watch out for when testing the beta and more. Yesterday was a very busy day for Apple. The MacBook Air and Pro got a few bumps, the Next Generation MacBook Pro was introduced with a Retina display, Mountain Lion was priced and given a release date, and iOS 6 was introduced and showcased.

That’s an awful lot of stuff, and yet there was stuff that the pundits thought would happen. No new Apple TV or Apple TV SDK. No Retina display MacBook Airs. No wedge-shaped Pros. So for some, this could be seen as a disappointment.

What do you think? Let us know in the poll to the right.

We’ve collected the top four reviews, roundups and how-to articles from across the AppStorm network in May.
