Welcome to another issue of iPhone Game Friday. This week sees us take another look at the latest releases to the App Store, from the wonderful iSlice, to big name releases such as FIFA World Cup and Iron Man 2.

The big news in the iPhone gaming world at the moment is that Gameloft are currently giving away an App for free every day (except weekends) for two hours a day in order to mark their 10th birthday. This runs from May 10th to May 21st and you can find out when the next ‘Happy Hour’ is by following @gameloft on Twitter.

Once again, if you have any comments, or an app that you want reviewed, get in touch!

Apparently there are actually a lot of children who own iPhones/iPod touches – unsurprising, when you consider how easy they are to use! This has opened up a niche market for game developers to create games solely aimed at children.

This week’s Game Friday looks at some of the most popular kids’ games for the platform, including AirBear and OddBlob. For those of you with young kids, these are definitely worth checking out. Once again, if you have any comments, or an app that you want reviewed, get in touch!

After last week’s roundup of some of the initial iPad game releases, we are back for another iPhone Game Friday, once again focusing on some of the best new games for the platform released in the last couple of weeks. This edition features the release of SEGA’s classic Sonic 2 as well as one of my favourite games of the moment, Freaking Inkies.

Once again, if you have any comments, or an app that you want reviewed, get in touch!

Welcome to another iPhone Game Friday. It’s been a while since we did a roundup of sports games and, with the release of one of my favourite PC/Mac games on the iPhone this week, I thought it was about time we took another look at some of the best sports games on the platform.

We’ll be having a quick look at Football Manager Handheld, along with a number of other games including Doodle Bowling and Skee-Ball, among others. Once again, if you have any comments, or an app that you want reviewed, get in touch!

Already rapidly pushing through April and on to the summer, Game Friday is back for another roundup of New Releases. Instantly grabbing most of the headlines this week was the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, however we will also be looking at a number of other games including Hockey Nations 2010 and Wiki Hunt among others.

If you wish to submit a game to us for inclusion in a Game Friday, let us know by using the link on the right-hand side.

This week’s edition of iPhone Game Friday sees us take a look at some of the best word games currently available for the iPhone. Personally I feel there is no better way to pass the time and challenge your brain than by playing a word game on your way to work. It gets you thinking and in the right frame of mind to start the day.

We will cover 5 different word games this week, including popular titles such as Scrabble and Boggle, as well as a few games that you may not have come across before.

This week’s iPhone Game Friday brings with it a roundup of those games that fit into the category of strategy. As usual, we have tried to keep the roundup as varied as possible and so this week we have both new and old games, including Sim City, the slightly weird Waffle Story and Plants vs. Zombies among others.

If you like any of these games or have recommendations of your own, let us know in the comments below. For those of you who want your own game reviewed, send us a message using the links on the right hand side. We will be bringing a round-up of user-submitted games next week.

The App Store has been getting a lot busier lately, with fantastic games being released all the time and developers popping up all over the world. Once again we are rounding up some of the new releases from the past two weeks, this time including two of my current favourites, White Lines and Tilt to Live, as well as three other great new apps.

To be honest with you, it’s been hard dragging myself away from Angry Birds to write this, but I managed to find some spare time! On a side note, if you want us to review your game, send us a promo code using the link in the right-hand sidebar and we will include it in a future version of Game Friday.
