Now that I have a family, I want to make some great home movies for my kids so that they can watch them over and over as they get older. Nowadays, with the handiness of having an iPhone, I am constantly taking pictures and capturing videos of them. This is not a bad thing, but I find that when I want to sit down and actually make a movie of a special event, I feel overloaded with the amount of media that I have. This is where an app like Magisto can come into play and make life easier. The concept behind the app is pretty neat and I bet it could probably help a few of you out there.

Magisto, in a nutshell, does the work for you when it comes to creating those home videos. As much as I love iMovie on my Mac, it takes time and patience, two things which I don’t always have. The Sims is one of my favourite gaming franchises and I’ve been playing them longer than any other. For those that don’t know, The Sims is a series of simulation games revolving around your own customised, virtual family with a ton of different paths you can take them on. The game is a juggernaut on PC and pretty popular on both home and handheld consoles.

Back in 2009, EA Mobile brought The Sims 3 to the iPhone. While that game remains in the App Store, EA recently introduced The Sims FreePlay, a brand new app that, as the name suggests, is available for free!

The Sims is a juggernaut in PC gaming and continues to hold the title of best-selling PC-based game throughout its three revisions over the past ten years. The Sims 3 is the current flagship game and iPhone app within EA’s The Sims division. That was nearly two years ago, but EA later followed that up by releasing a new version of two of the expansion packs released for PC and Mac.

The iPhone game is not a port of the PC game, but a different experience optimized for Apple’s mobile devices. We’ll look at the base game and it’s two expansions, World Adventures and Ambitions, in today’s review.
